Quarter Cup characteristics:
QUARTER® is a new and comprehensive anthropometric acetabular system compatible with total hip replacement and a wide range of circumduction consisting of the following elements:
Quarter Cup
- Material: Titanium Alloy Ti6AI4V (ISO 5832-3) and Plasma Spray coating (Titanium or Hydroxyapatite).
- With peripheral grooves that augment the perimeter and reinforce primary fixation, ensuring a better press fit.
- Apical plug and threaded plugs with Plasma Spray coating (Titanium and Hydroxyapatite).
- Holes for transacetabular screws.
- 12 internal anti-rotational notches.
- Interior equatorial slot for insert nailing
- Sizes: from diameter Ø 40 mm to Ø 68 mm
Quarter Insert
- Material: Highly Reticulated Polyethylene XL UHMWPE (ISO 5834-1)
- NEUTRAL AND ANTI-LUXANT inserts (15º lip)
- Designed for femoral heads sized Ø 22, 28, 32, 36 and 40 mm.
- Perimeter tab for anchoring to the QUARTER acetabular cup.
- 12 anti-rotational pegs, each 30º
- Minimum thickness of the polyethylene FOR ALL SIZES: 5 mm. (ISO 21535)
Femoral heads
- BIOLOX® delta ceramic (Biolox® Delta is a registered brand from CeramTech GmbH)
- Cobalt-chrome
- Stainless Steel
- Available diameters: Ø 22 mm, Ø 28 mm, Ø 32 mm, Ø 36 mm, Ø 40 mm.
Configurations
- The QUARTER Acetabular System offers 77 different cup or insert configurations, meaning that the possibilities of recovering the patient’s natural anatomy are much higher than for other systems on the market.
INSTRUMENTS
- The entire QUARTER Instrument range has been designed to facilitate functional assessment via test cups, inserts and heads. This offers surgeons the possibility to perform various trial reductions to confirm the range of motion and ligament tension.
