Self-locking Stem Characteristics:
The Self-locking Stem design of Surgival is based on the original development made by Maurice E. Müller in 1976, with some of our own features that enhance its performance.
The flat, decreasing, wedge-shaped form provides excellent anti-rotational stability and adequate elasticity to facilitate implant insertion in a neutral position, preventing varus/valgus positioning. The longitudinal groove increases the anti-rotational stability of the stem since it is filled with either bone cement in cemented stems or by trabecular bone in the cementless stems.

- Support area on the base of the neck over the osteotomy to prevent the prosthesis from sinking.
- The contour seeks to achieve good primary metaphyseal stability with press-fit and distal mechanical stability in the smooth area, thereby achieving a very stable biological fixation.
- Available in cemented and cementless versions.
